Our 2-day course focuses on preparing candidates for their imminent Final FRCA Structured Oral Examination (SOE) or viva at the Royal College of Anaesthetists.

A series of high-yield ‘Masterclasses’ and workshops cover key exam content and viva technique in an interactive and entertaining way. Our ‘What the examiner wants’ is delivered by a current Final SOE examiner giving candidates the opportunity to better understand the exam. These are complimented by 3 full SOE examinations mirroring the structure of the RCOA Final SOE.

Plenty of time is allocated to examiner feedback on both exam technique and knowledge.

On Day 2 we replicate the feel of the real exam as closely as possible: candidates and examiners alike are expected to wear ‘exam’ dress; each viva has a ratio of 2 consultant or senior trainee anaesthetists to each candidate.

We aim to keep costs as low as possible for candidates; currently our course fee is £300 for Peninsula trainees and £350 for external candidates. This includes lunch and tea/coffee/snacks during the day.
